Microsoft .NET Framework is a component/platform for additional help or supports more optimal performances of Windows if installed some or many programs. When viewed from the main function if this program, could say a Windows application that must be installed on every PC that Windows operating system.
Microsoft .NET Framework has different characteristics when installed on the computer, which cannot be seen directly where the location of the program is located or opened/executed by Windows user. But we can know with a few easy steps.
From Internet Explorer
As the default browser application from Windows, IE can also be used to determine program which version of Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your computer. From Control Panel
The default features from Windows also can be used to determine checking Microsoft .NET Framework installed on PC, open “Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs”. At this tab will shows all softwares/applications that installed including .NET Framework on PC. But the weakness sometimes the Microsoft .Net Framework’s version not showing detail at here.
From Registry Windows
The next step to know the version of Microsoft .NET Framework can also via Registry Windows. Open registry (Windows + R) and find key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Net Framework Setup\. On the left window will be shows the .NET Framework versions looks like a folder.
And at the right window will shows more detail about .NET Framework. If on PC already installed Microsoft .NET Framework with any versions, will be shows at here.
Via Asoft .NET Framework Detector
There are third party software that can help you to detect versions of Microsoft .NET Framework installed on PC called Asoft .NET Framework Detector. This program is freeware and portable (no need installation process).
After running this program dotnet.exe, you’ll see notification with color icon. That mean is if green color indicates the versions already installed, while for the versions is not installed are indicated with red color.
This program also provides download link from official provider site to download Microsoft .NET Framework & SDK, and give you detailed information about .NET Framework are installed on computer with a link to the directory.
