Popular freeware program to split & recombine files

On the internet, sure we’ve seen a large files that is cut/split into small sections or several parts, so that the files is basically large is divided into small and parts. So how do split or cutting the large files into several parts? and how to recombine it?

HJSplit is a freeware, portable, popular and useful tool to split the large files into several parts and recombine it with a few clicks, and support file sizes over 100 GB, MD5 checksums and file-compare. Actually this program is help your internet activition like send/receive or upload/download and share with others.

Interestingly, HJSplit also available in variety platforms including Windows, Linux, MAC, BSD, Java, PHP, Amiga, Windows 3.x, DOS, OS/2. All HJSplit editions are compatible with each other and allow user to exchange files between different operating systems. E.g. a file split on Linux can be joined on Windows 7 and vice versa.

How to split the large files?

  • Running the HJSplit and click on the “Split”.
  • Click on “Input File” and browse files you wanna be split.
  • At default, output is the same location like input, you can change as you wish if needed.
  • Specify split file size (Kb/Mb) and running the process by clicking “Start” button and wait until finish.

How to combine/re-combine files?

  • Put all files (split files) in one folder or same location.
  • Click on the “Join > Input”.
  • Browse files you wanna be combine/re-combine (just first file for example on .exe file).
  • At default, output is the same location like input, you can change as you want if needed.
  • Running the process by clicking “Start” button and wait until finish.
