Check BlackBerry problems from shortcuts

 

If you have BlackBerry smart phone or maybe have plan to buy, you may need very useful shortcut (Easter Egg) that enables to check and perform completely health of any other problems BlackBerry smart phone including hardware.

With this secret shortcuts, you will be able to test the keys of your BlackBerry’s hardware including keyboard, trackball movements, holster detector, light sensor, vibrator, keypad backlight, audio volume, Bluetooth connection, handset, speakers, LED, LCD screen pixels, and others…

To begin the test, click “Options” icon on the BlackBerry home screen. After that, select on the “Status” menu.

Now on the status screen, type with words “test” without quotes and from the menu on the “Device Self Test Application” screen, select start to begin the scanner.

After finishing scanning, you will see the information results as shown in the screenshot on the side.

As you may have seen in the test report, if there is no problems it will appear with the message “Pass”. But if there is a problem will appear with message “Fail”.

TIPS : If you have a BlackBerry Pearl or another similar models that especially supports SureType, use the multi-tap input method to type “test”.
